Kernow Conservation

We are a non-profit community interest company with big ambitions. We work in partnership with other conservation organisations, landowners, and local businesses to restore wildlife and biodiversity in Cornwall.

water vole

We are most well-known for our work restoring the UK-endangered water vole in Cornwall through carefully managed reintroductions.

We are also working hard to bring the osprey back as a nesting bird in Cornwall by installing and monitoring artificial nest platforms.

Remote camera trapping enables us to continually monitor an area to identify species’ presence and estimate abundance.

Cameras can be left in the field for months at a time enabling new insights into the distribution and behaviour of wildlife.

From species reintroductions to biodiversity monitoring and habitat restoration, we provide consultation to community organisations and private landowners.

We engage with an ever-growing community of landowners and are always looking for new project ideas and opportunities to scale up our impact.

Partnering with us can benefit your business and even help towards your environmental social governance goals.

Our ongoing project work and impact monitoring would not be possible without community support.
