Love & Legacy Wedding Giving
Love Cornwall. Love Nature. Love Each Other.
Make your wedding a gift for Cornwall’s wildlife
If you’re getting married in Cornwall, or bringing your guests here for a coastline-and-countryside celebration, you can turn wedding giving into something that lasts.
Love & Legacy Wedding Giving helps couples support Kernow Conservation through wedding gifts, donations or favours - creating a meaningful legacy for Cornwall’s native wildlife.
Instead of another toaster, trinket or table favour, your guests can help restore species and habitats across Cornwall.
A gift for love.
A legacy for nature.
What is Love & Legacy Wedding Giving?
More couples are choosing charitable donations instead of, or alongside, traditional wedding gifts and favours.
With Kernow Conservation, your wedding giving can help:
Support practical conservation action in Cornwall
Bring back native species that once belonged here
Restore rivers, wetlands, woodlands and wild places
Give your guests something meaningful to be part of
Create a legacy that lives beyond the wedding day
Couples can either invite guests to donate as part of their wedding gift list, or make a donation themselves in place of traditional wedding favours. The original Love & Legacy concept also includes QR cards, guest thank-you notes and the option for guests to follow Kernow Conservation’s projects after the wedding.
Choose where your wedding gifts go
We keep this simple and transparent. You choose the approach that feels right for you.
Option 1 - Support a specific project
Choose one of our active conservation projects and direct your wedding donations towards that area of work - this is ideal if you already have a favourite species, landscape or cause.
Current project areas include:
Water voles
Helping restore water voles to Cornish streams and support the habitat work they need to thrive.
Ospreys
Supporting nesting platform installation, monitoring and long-term osprey recovery in Cornwall.
Beavers
Helping build the evidence, partnerships and public understanding needed for future beaver work.
Pine martens
Supporting early-stage work to support the future of pine martens in Cornwall.
Option 2 - Support Kernow Conservation’s core work
Core support keeps Kernow Conservation moving.
It helps cover the essential, often less visible costs that make practical conservation possible, including:
Staff time
Travel to sites
Equipment upkeep
Volunteer coordination
Permissions and landowner liaison
Insurance
Monitoring
Reporting
Project development
If you want your wedding giving to have the widest impact across our work, core support is the most flexible - and often the most helpful - option.
How it works
1. Tell us about your wedding
Complete the short form below and let us know your date, location and whether you’re interested in wedding gifts, wedding favours or both.
2. Choose your giving option
You can support a specific project area or Kernow Conservation’s core work.
3. We help set up your wedding giving page
We can help create a simple giving page so guests can donate easily and you can see the total grow.
4. Share it with your guests
Use your giving page link in invitations, on your wedding website, or in your guest information.
We can also provide an optional QR code for table cards, signage or favour cards.
5. See the legacy of your day
After your wedding, we can share an update on what your support is helping make possible.
What you’ll receive
Depending on the option you choose, we can provide:
A shareable wedding giving link
A personalised giving page
Optional QR code
Suggested wording for invitations or wedding websites
Suggested wording for table cards or signage
Optional wedding favour card wording
A post-wedding thank-you message
An update on the conservation work your wedding has helped support
The original concept also includes inviting the couple to a Kernow Conservation event, such as a beaver walk or water vole release, as a thank-you for choosing Love & Legacy
What your gifts can do
Conservation is built from lots of practical steps - surveys, monitoring, habitat work, equipment, volunteer days, landowner conversations and long-term species recovery.
Wedding giving is perfect for this. Lots of people giving together can create something genuinely useful.
Examples of what donations can help support:
£10 - £25
Monitoring supplies, field materials, volunteer kit and small practical costs.
£25 - £75
Habitat tools, survey materials, site travel and volunteer support
£75 - £150
Small equipment such as SD cards, batteries, signage and kit upgrades.
£150 - £300
Targeted monitoring, including contributions towards eDNA sampling and analysis.
£300+
Equipment, fieldwork or direct delivery costs for specific project work.
Larger gifts
If you’re considering a larger gift, please get in touch. We can talk through what would be most useful, how it could support our work, and how to recognise it appropriately.
Please note that donations support Kernow Conservation’s wider native species recovery work. We’ll always aim to use funds where they can have the greatest conservation impact at the right time.
Why Kernow Conservation?
Kernow Conservation is a Cornwall-based CIC working to bring native species back to the places they once belonged.
Since 2019, our work has included water vole releases, osprey nesting platforms, beaver project support, species monitoring, volunteer habitat management and eDNA testing. The original Love & Legacy concept notes that Kernow Conservation has released around 500 water voles, installed 10 osprey nesting platforms, crowdfunded further platforms for 2026, supported beaver licence work and launched pine marten work
We’re practical, ambitious and rooted in Cornwall.
Your wedding can help us do more.
